EverChat is free, realtime chat rooms at ever.chat. We're a tiny team who believe the internet should feel alive — so every name and every webpage gets a room you can drop into and start talking.
What it is
A room is a live conversation at an address. Messages show up for everyone the moment they're sent. Write in markdown, react with emoji, edit or delete your own messages, set up a profile with an avatar, and block anyone you'd rather not hear from. Rooms don't show who's reading — there are no participant lists.
How rooms work
Entering a room creates it. Type any name after /r/ — like /r/anything — or paste a web address, like /r/youtube.com/watch?v=…, and you're in. Every webpage already has its own room, waiting for the first person to say something.
Not sure where to start? #general, #fifa and #vibecoding are good places to say hi.
Reading vs. posting
Anyone can read any room without signing in. To post a message or react, sign in with Google — that's it.
The Chrome extension
The EverChat extension puts a chat on every webpage. Everyone viewing the same page shares one room, in a small floating panel. When a big video is playing, the chat fades into a chromeless “cinema” mode so it stays out of the way.
How we keep the lights on
EverChat is free to use. It's paid for by ads in each room's right-hand rail, and anyone can buy one, self-serve:
| Size | What you get | Per day |
|---|---|---|
| Free · Text | Text ad with a headline and a line of copy | $0 |
| Paid · Large | Hero card — image, headline, and copy at the top of the rail | $5 |
Ads run for 1 day, 1 week, 30 days. Ads are public; who bought them isn't shown. More on placing and managing an ad.
Your privacy
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies — just a session cookie to keep you signed in. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
